In a pointed effort to instigate a revival of the house music sound of the late 1980s, the well-respected South Florida production team DIO + AJ + KLEIN have forged an alliance with veteran underground pioneers of the genre, FM Funk and JM Jack - who's influential 12" singles still reverberate with discerning electronica fans around the globe. With their new collaborative album, "Jackin' The Funk," the plan was to recapture the sound that made house so appealing in the first place. To achieve their lofty goal, this dream team chose to cover nine classics that helped define the era, and bring something new to the table, helping to bring the music forward for a new generation to savor. They have also added two brand new original tracks to the mix ("Jack The Bass" and "The Pressure") written in the spirit of the early years in mind, while pointing the way to where the music could go next. Thanks to the pioneers and the new provocateurs, house music is definitely alive and well. .
