Recorded in the early 1960s, the 3 Big Guitars features 3 of the most original guitar players of the 20th century performing in a modern folk vein. Jazz guitar guru Howard Roberts is featured on two rare tracks specifically recorded for this project; the innovative studio giant Billy Strange, who supplied his signature sound to the recordings of the Beach Boys, Randy Newman, Everly Brothers, Willie Nelson and many others is here, as well as Glen Campbell, the famous country-pop singer who first came to prominence as a session guitarist in the early 1960's. All selections newly re-mastered.
