When former lead singer Donald McPherson died unexpectedly in 1971 from a bout with leukemia, the stunned group carried on with Cuba Gooding Sr. (father of the popular film star Cuba Gooding Jr..) taking over as lead vocalist. It was with Gooding that the group scored their biggest hit with "Everybody Plays the Fool" in 1972. Here Gooding and the group reprise their huge 1972 hit.
