Vibraphonist Khan Jamal took up the instrument in 1964 and worked early with the Cosmic Forces and with Byard Lancaster. Like fine music and wine, the percussion and string ensemble on "Cool" brings together inspiring musicianship at a high level, combining the best aesthetics of two genres: jazz and classical.
