Joanie Sommers?was launched by Warner Brother, in 1960 as "The Voice Of The Sixties", and recorded a hugely diverse body of work for the label, taking in mainstream Pop, Jazz, and classy revivals of Great American?Songbook standards. Her biggest hit was the notorious 'Johnny?Get Angry', a song which continues to annoy feminists to this day and famously features the most preposterous kazoo solo in the history of Rock &?Roll (it was famously later revived by K. D. Lang). Joanie is often remembered as "The Pepsi Girl", as she provided the singing voice for their radio and TV commercials in the 60s, 70s and 80s. This compilation features all her singles between 1959-62 - including her other principal hits, 'One Boy' and 'When The Boys Get Together' - plus the pick of her LP?tracks, notably 'Shake Hands With A?Fool' and 'Since Randy Moved Away'
