Gai Barone is a producer that requires no introduction. From his numerous smash releases on the best progressive labels in the world, to his beloved radio show "Patterns," to his new Bedrock-signed project Tokyo Fan Club (alongside Luke Brancaccio and Kiki Cave), Gai has been consistently and increasingly one of the brightest stars in the house music universe. We're so happy to have him on Dissident, again! Gai first appeared on Dissident with his 2021 remix of Abstrakt. Digital's "Winter Solstice," a tune which got huge A-list DJ support and charted in the top 5 progressive releases on Beatport. Now he's back with his absolutely stunning remixes of Ranj Kaler's "Last Sunset. " Released last year with a Noel Sanger remix, Last Sunset and ASYN's plaintive vocals have found favor with a variety of DJs and listeners. As another summer begins (in the northern hemisphere at least!), Gai delivers a masterpiece of a remix, perfect for the season. Modulating to a major key, with waves of synths washing over a chugging bassline, the textures and depth of this remix cannot be overstated. We think you will love this record as much as we do.
