2018 release. Under The Mountain is the debut album from Edinburgh doom-rockers, King Witch, following on from their debut EP, Shoulders Of Giants. Formed in early 2015 in a dark cavern beneath the streets of old Edinburgh, King Witch have concocted a potent and heavy brew of old school metal and the meatiest of '70s classic rock. Featuring nine riff-laden tracks offset by the powerful yet bewitching vocals of Laura Donnelly, influence can be heard from Black Sabbath to Mastodon and from Led Zeppelin to High On Fire. Under The Mountain is as melodic as it is heavy, taking the listener on a journey from soulful doom vibes all the way to full-tilt metal riffle. Under the Mountain was recorded and produced by guitarist Jamie Gilchrist from their underground studio in Edinburgh and the final mix and master was conducted with Tom Dring at Vagrant Recordings in Southport. The artwork was created by vocalist Laura Donnelly.
