The famous pianist/composer/TV personality Steve Allen was attending an Easter church service for 3,000 people in Los Angeles and was extremely impressed by the last performer who accompanied herself on guitar. He made inquiries after the service and found out that the wonderful singer was Linda Guymon. Later that week the Church office called Linda and said that Steve Allen was anxious to get in touch with her. She thought it was a prank, but shortly she received a letter from Steve Allen saying "if you have no other recording plans at the moment, I would like to discuss with you the possibility of producing an album of contemporary folk-type material." the resulting album, presented here, features the amazing Barney Kessel (guitar); Paul Smith (piano) and Frankie Capp (drums). This extremely rare recording is finally available in the digital domain. All selections newly remastered.
