Featured here is an ultra-rare 1955 single by the supremely talented R&B vocalist Lou McClinton, better known by her stage name, Lou Mac. McClinton recorded eight titles for the Blue Lake imprint in Chicago, Illinois, in 1954 and 1955. Blue Lake was a subsidiary of the legendary Parrot Records label founded by Al Benson, the first African-American deejay in Chicago and one of the first in the United States. Come Back Little Daddy b/w Hard To Get Along With was recorded in October of 1954, and finds Lou backed by a band of the city's finest, including drummer Red Saunders, Leon Washington (tenor sax), Mac Easton (baritone sax), and Ike Perkins (guitar). Both tracks were written by McClinton and guitarist Bob Call, who had previously worked as an accompanist for blues greats Big Bill Broonzy, Washboard Sam, J.T Brown and others
