One of Cuba's most beloved divas, Mezzo soprano Marta Perez was the first Cuban singer to perform in Milan's famed La Scala opera house and was widely considered one of the grand figures of Cuban lyric singing of the 1950's. She first toured the US with Ernesto Lecouna's orchestra in 1946 and later migrated to Miami in the late 60's where she lived in exile until her passing in 2009. These rare sessions from the early 1970's offer an intimate view of the legendary artist. All selections newly re-mastered.
