Probably the most famous French composer of Impressionistic music, pianist Maurice Ravel is best known for his orchestral work, Bolero (1928), although he himself considered the piece trivial. His technically demanding piano pieces are world renowned and this rare recording from the early 1930's captures the master interpreting his own work and is one of the few recordings of his own music known to exist. All selections newly remastered.
