One of the main progenitors of the early house music scene, DJ and producer Andrew Komis, AKA Komix, founded Bigshot Records in Toronto with Nick Fiorucci in 1988 and First Choice in 1991. Under the moniker of New York City Dubs, Komis and his partner for this release, Matrix wrote, produced, and mixed the brilliant garage-house EP Straight Outta SoHo! featuring the tracks Say What, Don't Stop and Body And Soul. Originally released on 12 Vinyl in 1994 on the First Choice label, the 4 track EP also included an alternate mix of the infectious Say What.
