EU-only two CD set. As far as the banjo is concerned there are ordinary banjo players, good banjo players, better banjo players - and then Eddie Peabody. For Eddie is in a class by himself and if he didn't invent the banjo he might as well have! The ever dynamic, Mr. Peabody went on to invent the "banjoline" - the world's first electric banjo with vibrato attachment and it's distinctively romantic tones can be savored here in: "My Blue Heaven"; "Drifting and Dreaming"; "Let Me Call You Sweetheart"; "Always" and "Roses of Picardy". Eddie's sustained popularity was down to his ability to interpret almost any style from a good old-fashioned shuffle through to some rocking and rolling to beguine and Hawaiian. Although the banjo may make periodic disappearances from musical vogue it is never for too long. This is down to the dedicated fan base eager to hear and applaud this amazing style of music - and of course the exceptional playing by Mr. Banjo himself! Jasmine.
