Young, cute and almost unfeasibly handsome, 16 year old Rick Nelson was already a TV star via his mom and pop's weekly family sitcom the Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, so when he announced he was cutting his first record he could hardly fail. Ricky duly unleashed a run of million selling singles and albums, and during the late '50s he was second in popularity only to Elvis.
