Roya Naldi is one of the few singers today specializing in vocal stylings of the 1920s. Drawing inspiration from Bing Crosby, Cliff Edwards ("Ukulele Ike"), Al Bowlly, Annette Hanshaw, and others, she croons with passion and romance, captivating listeners with favorites and obscurities from the Jazz Age. For this recording, she is accompanied by the Chicago Cellar Boys, an all-star group of outstanding traditional jazz musicians including Andy Schumm (cornet, clarinet, and saxophone), John Otto (clarinet and saxophone), Paul Asaro (piano), Hal Smith (drums), and others who capture the hot and sweet sounds of 1920s jazz with unmatched authenticity. CD includes a 12-page color booklet with notes by Ms. Naldi. 15 tracks, 56 minutes.
