A pure reggae maniac from Australia who doesn't feel any jazz at all. Echo and bass are the most important factors in the bedroom dub-wise of home-recorded rockers. Really cool (this feels good). I love it... Masaya Hayashi (Rock-A-Shacka/Drum & Bass Records)The 2025 edition of Sheriff Lind's 1988 masterpiece '10 Dubs That Shook the World,' by the original dub music pioneer who developed King Tubby by injecting experimental/industrial elements. This time, it has been remastered using the newly discovered PCM recording beta cam original master, and the CD version includes the bonus track that was well-received when the first Japanese version was released in 2005 (different from the 2013 version bonus). This is the legendary first album by Anthony Maher, a member of the Australian experimental music ensemble Loop Orchestra, who produced 250 copies under the name Sheriff Lind with the help of the Severedheads. The excessive post-punk experimental spirit of the reggae maniac went beyond King Tubby, and invaded the realm of British experimental avant-garde artists such as David Cunningham and David Toop, and even industrial music. Ten Dubs That Shook the World, a compilation of home-recorded equipment and tape experiments from 1981 to 1988, is a monumental work of non-Jamaican roots dub, and a historically important work that became the prototype of dub works after the Jamaican-derived technique 'DUB' became an independent music genre. The cross-explanations by Loop Orchestra founder and Australian indie figure John Blades (who passed away in 2011), Severedheads founding member/Loop Orchestra member Richard Fieldings, and Sheriff Lind himself are also important resources!LISTEN: https://youtu.
