Troy Shondell was one of the scores of teenage heartthrobs who ruled the charts in the years immediately before the Beatles. This is the first collection to combine his Liberty and Everest label hits on one package. The title track sold a million copies in 1961 reaching No 5 in America and just missing the UK Top 20. Troy's material displays a keen understanding of the Bluesier elements of what was known at the time a's Swamp Pop and as such has perhaps dated less than many of his contemporaries work. A couple of tracks were produced by the young Phil Spector in the early days of his career adding more accolades to Troy Shondell's career. The fully annotated 12 page booklet includes rare photos and numerous label shots. 15 tracks. Acrobat. 2006.
