A long awaited and much anticipated new release by Transistor Rodeo. "Truck and a Radio" marks a new approach to the band's presentation of material. This new album sets the songs on a bare bones, primitive palette; no elaborate arrangements, soloists, backing vocals or any additional instrumentation. The pure sound of guitar, bass & drums leave only the heart of rock & roll to fuel the material, letting the songs stand on their own merit. This also allows the band to give the audience a true reflection of a live performance. Recorded by Tim Eschliman for Globe Records, it brings Transistor Rodeo back home to the label that helped launch Dave Erdmann's song writing passion over two decades ago. Truck And A Radio is unique in the band's catalog of releases, inspired by the likes of Buddy Holly and The Clash bringing simplicity to the material. This album brings together the guitar stylings and prolific song writing of David Erdmann and his close-knit rhythm section, Sean Brown on bass and Steve Bryant on drums. It was mixed by four-time Emmy award winner Dana Kirkpatrick & mastered by Rob Beaton who started at the famed Record Plant Studios in Sausalito. Between Tim, Dana & Rob the "balance" of the album sits where it should, letting the songs do the talking. Sit back & listen to the music produced by the restless imagination of this musical storyteller.
