Like so many of us, Kitty Wells-the cherished and revered Queen of Country Music-would spend that magical day, Christmas Day, surrounded by her family. But she also had a special wish to share the holiday spirit with the countless friends she made through her music during her long and storied career. This album, Christmas Day with Kitty Wells, first released in 1962, is Kitty's heartfelt way of spreading that Christmas cheer with all who hold her music dear-and what a charming, festive gift it is. Joined by the popular Jordanaires, known for their impeccable harmonies and collaborations with the likes of Elvis Presley, Kitty breathes new life into a collection of beloved holiday favorites. This album is not just a collection of songs, but a musical journey through the joys of the holiday season, filled with the charm of a country Christmas spent with family and friends. It's Kitty's way of bringing a bit of her own Southern Christmas spirit into your home.
